This is our competitive Class 2 compost which also happens to share many of the same qualities as many premium composts available elsewhere at a much higher cost. Premium Dairy Compost is first made with enzyme-rich cow manure. These valuable natural enzymes come from the cow's four stomachs. The purpose of these enzymes is to convert and work to breakdown organic matter into a soluble form for plant root uptake. Next, we carbon balance the nitrogen in this formula by combining ground shavings of coniferous and deciduous tree branches. These grounds are high in water absorbing matter while being low in pH. Premium Dairy Compost works to recondition and soften hard depleted soils when tilled-in. By re-establishing this balance of micro-life back into your soil this compost will stimulate roots, and facilitate the stooling process (a wheat farming term for a thickening in plants' roots and shoots).

This is contractor's grade compost; It needs to be mixed correctly or it will burn your plants/grass.

Planter's Mix Soil - (Class 1)

At Unique Hardscapes, we offer a pre-mixed soil solution for both you planting, as well as your turf needs.  A dark, rich loam, our planter's mix soil is perfect for use by homeowner's and contractor's alike. The lighter, more versatile mixture of the soil avoids additional risk of burning plant or grass roots no matter where it is planted. Though generally not recommended for building landscape mounds, planter boxes, and large gardens (see Fill Soil), Planter's Mix Soil would be perfect as topsoil layer in almost any situation.  

Planter's Mix Compostion
- 30% Sandy Loam
- 40% Black Tea Compost (Class 1)
- 30% Top-Quality Clay Sediment

This is NOT a sub-soil clay Benonite. The clay we use is a nutrient rich agricultural slit/loam sediment that is simply clay based.
